Thigh Lift

A thigh lift is an elective cosmetic surgery procedure that involves removing excess skin and fat from areas of the body where there is no muscle tone. This includes the inner and outer thighs, knees, buttocks, and upper arms.

After having a thigh lift, patients will notice a smoother contour to their legs and a more toned appearance.

They will also feel less self-conscious when wearing shorts or skirts because the area will appear smaller and tighter.

A thigh lift tightens the skin of the inner thighs. It can be performed in conjunction with liposuction to help reduce fat deposits in those areas.

Before undergoing thigh lift surgery, you will be asked to stop taking medications that increase bleeding. Your surgeon will also instruct you to stop taking aspirin, certain vitamins and supplements, and anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen. Your surgeon may also ask for a medical evaluation to make sure that you’re healthy enough to undergo the procedure.

The surgeons at BariClinic have been recognized for performing Thigh Lift. They offer a variety of services with safe and effective techniques, including the Thigh Lift, and their decades of experience are reflected in their work.

If you’re thinking about undergoing Thigh Lift, our experienced Dr. Karolis Černauskis can help you.

Thigh Lift Procedure

You’ll be put under general anesthesia during the procedure Your surgeon will make incisions in your thighs based on the type of lift you’ve chosen. Then, the surgeon will cut away excess tissue and fat before inserting stitches to close up your wounds.

On average, you can expect the entire procedure to take two hours. Since you’ll have several hours in both pre-op and post-op, the entire process to take up most of the day.

Incision patterns vary depending on the area to be treated, how much correction is needed and whether the patient or surgeon prefers a specific pattern.

One way to perform a thigh lift is to make incisions in the groin, extend it downward, and wrap it around the back of your thigh.

Another technique that can be used to remove excess skin from the groin down to the knee involves a single incision that follows along the inseam.

It may also be possible for you to receive a minimal incision inner thigh lift that involves only an incision in the groin area.

Your plastic surgeon will recommend what’s best for you.

Advanced techniques usually allow incisions to be placed in strategic locations where they can be hidden by most types of clothing and swimsuits. However, incisions may be extensive.

Thigh Lift Post Op

Drain tubes lasting as long as 4 weeks may be required to help prevent excess fluid from building up in your legs.

When you go home from your operation, your surgeon will put dressings on the incisions to help reduce swelling. They may also insert a tube to help drain excess blood and fluids from the area.

You’ll need to make a follow-up appointment with your surgeon to have these items removed.

You may feel some soreness, bruising and swelling for a few days after the procedure.

Your thighs should begin to look more toned right away, but you won’t see full results for several months.

After you get your thigh lift, you will be able to see a youthful, more defined appearance to your inner thighs.

Thigh Lift Recovery

After 2 to 4 weeks of rest and relaxation, you can return to work. Avoid vigorous activities for at least 4 to 6 weeks.

To avoid leg swelling and and bruising, it is recommended that you should wear compression wraps on your legs for several weeks after surgery.
