Brazilian butt lift
A Brazilian butt lift is a specialized fat transfer cosmetic procedure that augments the size and shape of the buttocks without implants. It involves the transfer of fat to create more fullness in your backside.
Excess fat is removed from the hips, abdomen, lower back, or thighs with liposuction, and a portion of this fat is then strategically injected into the buttocks to create desired look.
You might consider a Brazilian butt lift to enhance the curves of your lower body, reduce fat pockets on your hips, thighs or belly while adding fullness to the buttocks, help clothing fit more attractively, give a more youthful, aesthetically pleasing shape to buttocks and enhance your overall proportions by improving balance between your upper and lower body.
For a Brazilian butt lift to be successful, you must have enough excess fat in your hips, thighs or lower abdomen to remove and transfer to your butt, as well as have good skin tone in your hips and buttocks, since the procedure does not treat loose or saggy skin.
If you’re thinking about undergoing Brazilian Butt Lift, our experienced surgeon Dr. Karolis Černauskis can help you.
Brazilian butt lift procedure
Brazilian butt lift surgery is performed under general anesthesia.
The surgeon uses liposuction to remove fat from other areas of your body, such as your hips, stomach, and thighs. Liposuction itself involves making incisions in the skin, and then using a tube to remove fat from the body.
The extracted fat from your body is purified and readied to inject the processed fat into specific areas on the buttocks to achieve the desired shape and size.
Brazilian butt lift Post op
Like any cosmetic surgery, you’ll need to take special care after a Brazilian butt lift. You won’t be able to sit directly on your butt for two weeks following surgery, and you’ll need to sleep on your side or on your stomach until the area has completely healed.
After the surgery, you will not be able to put pressure directly on your buttocks for about two weeks.
After several weeks, you may be able to sit for short periods of time on a specially designed pillow that evenly distributes pressure. You won’t be able to sit without your pillow for approximately eight weeks.
At this point, you may be able to participate in light exercises. However, you should avoid heavy lifting or strenuous activities for one month.
After a couple of weeks, your surgeon will give you the green light to sit in a modified position with a supportive “donut” seat or pillow under your thighs to prevent pressure on your buttocks. Generally, you can return to sitting without restrictions about eight weeks after the procedure.
Your buttocks may be swollen for several weeks as you recover from surgery.
Brazilian butt lift Recovery
Recovery from a BBL takes about six weeks. For the first two weeks, you must avoid sitting and lying on your back.
