Buttock lift
A buttock lift is a cosmetic procedure to improve the appearance and look of your buttocks, which can be done as part of a tummy tuck. Alternatively, it may be done as part of a lower body lift to contour the buttocks, thighs, and abdomen.
A butt lift is a great option if you have loose and sagging skin in your buttock area, excess fat or skin that makes you uncomfortable or causes mobility problems.
You may also need buttock lift surgery if your butt is too small or too big for your body frame, and you desire a more balanced look. If you have a flat or square shape of your butt and you would like more curves, this surgery is perfect for you.
The surgeons at BariClinic have been recognized for performing Buttock Lift. They offer a variety of services with safe and effective techniques, including the Buttock Lift, and their decades of experience are reflected in their work.
If you’re thinking about undergoing Buttock Lift, our experienced Dr. Giedrius Stankevičius can help you.
Buttock lift Procedure
During a buttock lift, excess skin and fat are removed from the buttocks. The remaining skin is then repositioned to create a more toned look.
A buttock lift alone won’t add volume to the buttocks. But sometimes a buttock lift is combined with an augmentation. An augmentation alters the shape or size of the buttocks with implants or fat taken from other parts of the body.
Plastic surgeons will make an incision along the lower back, from hip to hip. The excess skin below the incision is pulled up, lifting the buttocks. Extra skin and fat are then removed. The procedure typically takes an average of 2 to 3 hours. However, it can take up to six hours if the surgery is combined with other procedures, such as a body lift.
Buttock lift Post Op
For the first months after a buttock lift, you’ll need to take care when moving, increasing your activity level slowly.
After a buttock lift surgery, your incision will likely be covered with a surgical dressing. To drain any excess blood or fluid, one or more drains are typically placed under the wound and close to the incision line.
After surgery, drains might be left in place for several weeks. You’ll be shown how to empty and care for your drains.
After a couple of days, you’ll begin wearing a supportive garment for the next few weeks.By wearing this, you will find that this will help prevent fluid buildup, which can cause pain and discomfort. You are encouraged to talk with your doctor about when it is safe to discard the support garment.
Scar management can include silicone sheeting, scar cream, and massage. These treatments will improve the appearance of your scar over time.
It’s important to stay away from positions that are likely to strain your incision line, which could reopen the wound.
Gastric Balloon Recovery
You can usually go home from the hospital 1 to 3 days after having weight loss surgery. After 4 to 6 weeks, you’ll be able to return to your normal activities. However, you’ll need to make long-term lifestyle changes in order to help make the most of your surgery.
