Mommy makeover

Mommy makeover is a unique and comprehensive plastic surgery treatment specifically tailored to address each patient’s aesthetic concerns. It allows surgeon to enhance multiple areas of the body through the combination of several body contouring and breast enhancement procedures.
Many women notice changes in their bodies post-pregnancy or weight loss. Most commonly, this comprehensive treatment consists of breast enhancement and abdominal contouring, though the exact procedures will depend on the unique needs and goals of each patient.
A mommy makeover is typically performed as a single stage procedure.
Every mommy makeover surgery is unique, so surgeon works closely with each patient to design an operative plan that addresses the specific aesthetic concerns they wish to resolve.

Mommy Makeover Procedure
The surgery is done under general anesthesia and takes between 4 – 6 hours. Usually done in steps:
First step is liposuction. Liposuction at mommy makeover remove fat from specific areas of the body, such as the abdomen, waist, back or thighs. Liposuction also shapes (contours) these areas.
Second step is breast lift or enlargement if patient needs. The most common procedure involves an anchor-shaped incision a circular incision around the areola, extending downward in a vertical line and in the fold underneath the breast following the natural contour of the breast. When the excess skin has been removed, the nipple and areola are moved to the higher position. The skin surrounding the areola is then brought down and together to reshape the breast.
If patient needs bigger breasts so the implant is placed in a lodge formed in the breast tissues.
Third step is tummy tuck. An incision is placed in the lower abdomen, above the pubic hairline. In a full tummy tuck, the incision extends from one hipbone to the other. The excess skin and subcutaneous tissue below the belly button are removed, the separated muscles are tightened with special stitches, and a new opening is cut on the abdominal wall for the repositioning of the belly button, which is sutured into its new place. The surgery is completed by closing the incision and inserting the drains to prevent fluid accumulation.
Special garment and bra is placed on.
Mommy Makeover Post Op
After a mommy makeover, your incisions will be covered with surgical dressing. Small tubes might be placed along the incision site to drain any excess blood or fluid. The first 2 postoperative days are usually spent in the clinic. You’ll likely feel moderate pain, which will be controlled by pain medication. It’s normal to have swelling in the surgical area for about six weeks. A special compression garment and bra should be worn for 8 weeks after the surgery (23–24 hours per day).
After the surgery, lymphatic drainage massage on an individual basis is recommended to achieve the best outcome;
For the first 4 weeks after a mommy makeover, you’ll need to take care when moving and avoid positions that strain your incision line — such as quickly bending at the waist — to prevent the reopening of the wound.
Strenuous physical activities and sports are recommended not earlier than 3 months after the surgery. The final outcome is seen after 4 – 6 months when the swelling subsides completely. The patient can return to work within a few weeks if occupation does not require strenuous movements or physical work.
Mommy Makeover Recovery
At approximately 6 weeks-2 months after your mommy makeover, you should be able to start returning to your normal activities, including exercise.
