Reverse Tummy Tuck

The Reverse Abdominoplasty also called Revise Tummy Tuck, is a surgical procedure designed to lift and tighten lax sagging skin from the stomach.

For a tummy tuck, the surgeon removes skin from the lower part of your stomach. But for an abdominal reverse-tummy tuck, the surgeon removes only skin from the upper portion.

The inframammary incision is a route that surgeons can use to perform a Reverse Abdominoplasty. This incision is placed below the breasts and leaves scars well hidden within the breast crease.

The technique can be combined with other body sculpting procedures, such as a breast augmentation, to achieve optimal results.

The surgeons at BariClinic have been recognized for performing Reverse Tummy Tuck. They offer a variety of services with safe and effective techniques, including the Reverse Tummy Tuck, and their decades of experience are reflected in their work.

If you’re thinking about undergoing Reverse Tummy Tuck, our experienced Dr. Karolis Černauskis can help you.

Reverse Tummy Tuck with Breast Lift

Patients who have lost significant amounts of weight, sagging tissue above their belly button (even after a previous Tummy Tuck), or are looking to receive both a Breast Augmentation and Tummy Tuck may benefit from the Reverse Abdominoplasty procedure.

Reverse Tummy Tuck Procedure

Reverse abdominoplasty, an outpatient procedure and performed under general anesthesia, takes approximately two hours to complete.

The procedure begins with a small incision along the inframammary fold, along the crease breast crease. The incision will span from one side of the torso to the other, which will result in a long scar. Surgeons will excise the unwanted, loose skin along the upper abdomen, as well as the unsightly fatty deposits. The remaining skin is then pulled upward until taut to create a new, smooth contour.

Sutures are inserted to secure tissue. The torso may be wrapped with a dressing and compression garment. With this procedure, there is no need to reposition the belly button.

Reverse Tummy Tuck Post Op and Recovery

Recovery after a reverse tummy tuck lasts between one and two weeks. A surgical bandage must be worn for several days to help support the new abdominal contour.

During the first two weeks, patients can expect bruising, swelling, and tenderness to resolve gradually.

At first, comfort is managed with prescription pain medication.  After a week to 10 days, patients usually feel good enough to transition to over-the-counter pain relief.

Around this time, they may also be ready to return to work. Light activities may resume but the strenuous physical activity must be avoided for about 6 weeks.

Most patients are able to return to work one to two weeks after their reverse abdominoplasty procedure
