Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that reshapes the nose by removing excess skin and cartilage, and adding new tissue. It is often used to correct problems caused by injury, birth defects, or other medical conditions.

Many people choose rhinoplasty because they feel self-conscious about their noses. Others seek rhinoplasty to improve their appearance by changing the size, shape, or angle of their nose. Still others undergo rhinoplasty to correct a birth defect or injury to the nose.

The surgeons at BariClinic have been recognized for performing gastric balloon. They offer a variety of services with safe and effective techniques,, including the gastric balloon, and their decades of experience are reflected in their work.

If you’re thinking about undergoing gastric balloon, our experienced Dr. Donatas Danys can help you.

Liquid Rhinoplasty

A liquid rhinoplasty, or nonsurgical rhinoplasty, is the injection of dermal fillers into the nose to alter its shape.

Septorhinoplasty

A septorhinoplasty (or ‘nose job’) is an operation to improve the appearance of your nose (rhinoplasty) and to improve how you breathe through your nose (septoplasty). It involves operating on the bones and cartilage that give your nose its shape and structure and making your septum straight.

Rhinoplasty Procedure

A thorough preoperative evaluation will help determine whether rhinoplasty is right for you. You should discuss any concerns you have with your surgeon during this appointment.

A nose job is usually done as an outpatient procedure, meaning there is no overnight stay. You’ll get general or local anesthesia. With general anesthesia, you’ll sleep through the operation. With local anesthesia, you will be sedated and your nose will be numbed so you are unable to feel the pain.

During an operation, the surgeon makes cuts within the nostrils. In more difficult cases, the surgeon may also make cuts across the base of the nose. The surgeon then reshapes the inner bone and cartilage to produce a more pleasing appearance.

Rhinoplasty Post Op

During the first few days following surgery, you may notice swelling and bruising around the eyes after surgery that will begin to improve after the third day. It can last up to 2 weeks. These symptoms usually subside within two weeks. It is also common to feel some discomfort when breathing through the nose. This is normal and will pass as the incisions heal.

After a nose job, people usually wear a nasal splint for the first week. You will need to keep your head elevated for at least 24 hours after the operation.

Expect your nose to have a little swelling, which probably only you and your surgeon will notice. This will go away over the next 6 months. The final shape of your nose will be apparent after it has completely healed.

Rhinoplasty Post Op

You should avoid strenuous activity for 3 to 6 weeks after surgery. You may return to your social activities as soon as within 2 to 3 weeks without any recognizable signs that you had a procedure done.
